The Green Economy website, launched by GEF last year in cooperation with the EGP and the Greens/EFA Group in the European Parliament, continues to grow as a resource for all the latest information and material on this issue. Green economy is the Green's answer to the triple economic, environmental and social crises that grip Europe. It proposes a transition to an economy and society that is fairer and sustainable by urgently investing in the green economy.
The purpose of this website is to bring together news on related events (such as conferences and debates) as well as publications and reports which highlight renewable-based economy solutions. Crucially, the website also includes a 'best practice' section, to highlight projects that are implementing these practices across Europe.
The website has already become a hub of green activity, as is regularly update by GEF (with the help of its partner organisations). Some of the most recent articles include a video highlight Green jobs, a report from the OECD on the environmental outlook for 2050 and ideas for a green economy from a French-based research foundation.
If you have a report or best practice idea that you would like to contribute to the Green Economy website, please contact GEF at info@gef.eu.
