The Green European Foundation is currently seeking a full-time Director / Secretary General for our Brussels office. The Director / Secretary General is responsible for the successful overall management of GEF under the guidelines set by the Board of Directors. She / He reports to the Board of Directors of the foundation. Applications for the vacancy are open until 18 May 2014.

Qualities and experience sought
- proven strategic management capacities
- 5 years of experience in relevant positions with same level of responsibility
- interest in and knowledge of the Green political movement, of Green issues and EU policy-making
- generalist in content, willing to engage in a diversity of debates
- ability to adapt to changing conditions, intercultural and social competence
- networker and communicator
- strong capacity for critical reflection
- efficient, structured and inclusive team leader
- willingness to travel, availability for occasional work outside regular office hours
- professional fluency in English, all other European language skills are an asset
The Green European Foundation offers:
- a full-time (38h) post on a contract with unlimited duration
- salary depending on experience, subject to Belgian tax and social security systems, with a reference salary level of EUR 59.000 brut/year
